Michelle VanBenschoten, L.Ac. graduated with honors from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica with a Master’s degree in Chinese Medicine.  She is a California board licensed acupuncturist and herbalist.  Her professional career began in 2009, when while earning her Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and biology with the intent to continue on to medical school, she began working under a naturopath and quickly realized that she wanted to help close the gaps that western medicine often left open,  eventually leading her to pursue her degree in Chinese Medicine.  Michelle has over 12 years of experience working in the field of integrative medicine and has a passion for treating people with a gentle and effective technique.  Integrating her knowledge of acupuncture, herbalism and nutrition while using compassionate listening, she creates individualized care for each of her patients in order to create balance for both physical and emotional well-being.

 

In her free time, you’ll find Michelle enjoying time in nature with her husband and dog, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, reading and enjoying her love of all movies and music.
